摘要

A highly efficient protocol for the induction of adventitious shoots from young internode and root explants of a semiparasitic medicinal herb Monochasma savatieri Franch ex Maxim was developed. MS basal medium supplemented with 5 A mu M thidiazuron (TDZ) induced 32 adventitious shoots/explant, which was double the number obtained using the same concentration of 6-benzyladenine (BA). Hyperhydric shoots were observed when 10 A mu M of any cytokinin was added to MS media. Use of any cytokinin at 2.5 A mu M produced an average of 14-21 adventitious shoots/root explant. Shoots formed roots in vitro more effectively than alpha-naphthaleneacetic acid when indole-3-butyric acid and indole-3-acetic acid were used at 1.0 A mu M. Two-month-old rooted plantlets were transplanted to vermiculite and 70% survived after 4 months.
