Development and Utility of a Standardized Bedside Audit Tool To Monitor Indwelling Urinary Catheter Use in Patients with Cancer

This article discusses the development of a standardized bedside audit tool for evaluating the management of indwelling urinary catheters and the documentation of care in hospitalized adult patients with cancer. The audit tool was trialed across four inpatient wards at a tertiary referral facility, and results are presented. Data demonstrated clinically relevant factors to be feasibly captured using the standardized audit tool.
