Dominant Styles of Thinking About Religion

The Post-Critical Belief Scale (PCBS) is a commonly used tool in Europe, also in Poland, for cognitive studies on religion. The theoretical basis of this scale is Wulff's (1991) model. The main aim of the research presented here was an attempt to distinguish the 4 dominant styles of thinking about religion in the students tested using the PCBS questionnaire, and then to examine the links between the individual styles and the following variables: gender, type of education, and religiosity (religious engagement and religious practices). Out of 958 participants, it was possible to distinguish 374 persons who represent the main dominant styles of religious thinking.
