Williams Field Services Pursues Pipeline Lateral to Help Move Gulf Production Onshore to the Coast

On Dec. 11 Williams Field Services - Gulf Coast Co., LP (WGC) (CP16-32) filed a petition for declaratory order (PDO) at FERC, requesting a finding that its planned natural gas lateral pipeline in the Gulf of Mexico would be exempt from Commission jurisdiction given its role as a gathering facility. WGC’s lateral and related facilities will move gas from ultra-deep waters in the Gulf through WGC’s non-jurisdictional platform facilities (space leased from Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Corp.’s existing platform) to a subsea interconnection with Destin Pipeline System, then transported to the Pascagoula Processing Plant in Pascagoula, Mississippi, for processing and re- delivery to onshore interstate pipeline facilities.
