FERC Sets For Hearing Gulf South Pipeline’s Revised Tariff to Account For Costs of Newly Merged Petal Storage Facilities

On 6/30/15 FERC granted the motion of Gulf South Pipeline Co. (RP15-65) to place the pipeline’s tariff records into effect on 5/1/15, subject to refund and outcome of the hearing. FERC clarified that it was “a matter of right” in granting the company’s motion, contrary to the protesters’ wish, and that pursuant to the Natural Gas Act (NGA) the Commission lacks the authority to suspend a rate for longer than five months.
