摘要

Multiple correlation coefficients between independent variables and tracheid lengths are statistically significant in all the sampling strata in Abies pindrow Royle. In the pooled multivariate analyses the most important variables affecting whole-ringtracheid length are distance from the pith and growth rate in 5 trees each, ring width in 4 trees and age in 3 trees. In the pooled multivariate analyses the most important significant variables affecting whole-earlywood tracheid length are ring width and distance from the pith in 4 trees each, age and growth rate in 3 trees each and percentage height in 2 trees. In the pooled multivariate analyses the most important significant variables affecting whole-latewood tracheid length are growth rate in 5 trees, ring width, distance for the pith and percentage height in 4 trees each and age in 3 trees.
