Fungi from diseased agarwood tree (Aquilaria agallocha Roxb.): two new records

"Agar" is known as the result of natural infection, found as irregular patches in trunks of the standing trees of Aquilaria agallocha Roxb. which are of great economic importance. Two fungi, viz., Fusarium oxysporum Schlecht. and Chaetomium globosumKunze. were isolated for the first time from the diseased wood of A. agallocha. These two fungi colonised wood blocks of A. agallocha when these were inoculated artificially.
