摘要

This paper is to study the wave propagation in piezoelectric heterogeneous isotropic poroelastic layer lying over an initially stressed heterogeneous poroelastic half space in the framework of Biot's theory. Heterogenity here is variation in densities of layer in a particular direction. Frequency equation is obtained for axially symmetric waves for two layered phenomena. Phase velocity is computed as a function of wavenumber for fixed piezoelectric, dielectric constants, and initial stress. For numerical purpose, two examples are considered, and the results are presented graphically.
