摘要

Americium citrate, (NH4)(2){Co(NH3)(6)}(2)[Am-3(Citr)(4)(OH)(H2O)(2)]center dot nH(2)O, was synthesized and characterized using X-ray crystallography, IR and optical spectroscopy. Americium atoms are coordinated by citrate anions acting as tetradentate ligands. All carboxylic and hydroxylic groups of citric acid are deprotonated. By this means, complex anions [Am-3(Citr)(4)(OH)(H2O)(2)](8-) are formed. Large cavities present in the structure contain solvate water molecules.
