摘要

Two phase heat transfer characteristics of free-surface impinging water jets have been widely studied during a few decades. This study is initiated by industrial applications of an accelerated cooling equipment for plate Mill The time-and space-resolved heat transfer characteristics under arrays of free-surface impinging water jets are experimentally measured with a multiple heat flux gauge. Experimental measurements were made for seven different staggered geometric array configurations. Optimized jet-to-jet etspacing of staggered arrays is investigated based on the averaged heat transfer coefficient.
