According to recent trade statistics, Chinese bauxite imports totalled almost 2.6m tonnes in November 2014, remaining at consistent levels compared to the previous month. Imports from Australia accounted for 41.7% of the total, while imports from Malaysia accounted for 26.4%. During this time, the average Chinese bauxite CIF import price increased by $0.45/t to reach $58.27/t.
