摘要

A full numerical optimization method for the design of FWM-based frequency converters for WDM systems is presented, taking into account specific system constraints set by the designer. The method is illustrated with the design of separate transparent frequency converters for 40 Gbit/s ASK and DPSK signals using Truewave fiber.
