摘要

Diaryliodonium salts, Ar2I~+X~-, are an important and appealing class of aromatic iodine(III) derivatives, and recently have received considerable attention because of their powerful arylation of a wide range of nucleophiles to synthesize valuable aromatic compounds. They can be directly substituted by various nucleophiles under ecological and mild reaction conditions. In the presence of transition metals, diaryliodonium salts are often applied in cross-coupling reactions and even substituted by weak nucleophiles such as alkenes, alkynes, arenes.
