The cyclotryptamine alkaloids are a diverse group of natural products with a wide array of biological activities (Figure 1). This family of alkaloids consists of hexahydropyrroloindole units linked to form oligomers of varying sizes. Cyclotryptamine alkaloids are found in a number of different types of plants and animals.
