摘要

In contrast to p-phenyldiamine radical cations (Wiirster's salts), aniline radical cations (ArNR2~+, R = H or alkyl) are highly reactive and often exist as short-lived intermediates occurring in dimerization, cationic polymerization, azo compound formation,benzidine rearrangement, proton-transfer reactions, and various nucleophilic substitutions such as nitration, methoxylation, cyanation, and halo-genation.
