摘要

Organocatalysis using N-heterocyclic carbenes (NHCs) has attracted growing interest because of its unique reactivity and selectivity in many different types of organic reactions. The utility of NHC-mediated reactions has also been expanded to polymer synthesis, predominantly through the ring-opening polymerization (ROP) of cyclic monomers such as cyclic esters, epoxides,' cyclic siloxanes, and N-carboxyl anhydrides.
