Recently, synergistic catalysis on a nanostructured solid surface has received much attention.One such heterogeneous synergistic catalyst systems involves acid-base synergistic catalysis on a solid surface that has both a Br0nsted acid site and a base site.In these catalysts, the Br0nsted acid and anchored amine base sites exist together without neutralization (Figure 1 a).
