Metal nitrides exhibit a number of important properties, such as superconductivity, catalytic activity, unusual magnetic properties, and high hardness and mechanical strength.Great efforts have been made in exploring new ternary and higher-order metal nitrides since the 1990s.However, the intrinsic physical properties of many ternary metal nitrides have not been well-studied because of the synthetic challenges in preparing single-phase ternary metal nitrides.
