摘要

The protective anticancer effect of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) has attracted much attention, and clinical trials of several NSAIDs are under way for treatment or prevention of various cancers. As NSAIDs are best known for their inhibition of cyclooxygenase 1 and 2 (COX-1/ 2), they are hypothesized to suppress tumor growth by blocking prostaglandin synthesis.
