摘要

Polyesters have been of great interest over the last three decades in applications in the medical field owing to their biodegradable,biocompatible,and permeable properties.Ring-opening polymerization(ROP)of cyclic esters has been the major method employed to synthesize this type of polymer.Of the wide variety of polyesters made for this way,poly-(D,L)-lactide is particularly significant because of the presence of a chiral carbon atom in the repeating unit.
