The isolation of multicationic compounds centered around main-group elements is a new frontier of p-block chemistry that has been developing rapidly in recent years.Although such molecules have been targeted for several decades,the task of sequestering such species in a storable form is immense;furthermore,structural characterization of the corresponding salts is exceedingly rare.
