摘要

This article presents the basic stance for the optimal control for daylighting and HVAC, and technologies that control heat and light while providing solar shading simultaneously with daylight and outdoor views, as well as another technology that adds suitable wavelength characteristics and directivity to windows. From the viewpoints of thermal performance, windows are the weakest parts among building envelopes. In order to provide thermal insulation and solar shading while preserving the natural views and openness required from windows, multi-layered window systems, such as airflow windows, double-skin facades, and windows with exterior shading are utilized. These systems have proven highly effective when combined with automatic blinds that control up/down slat movement and change slat-angles on the basis of solar radiation conditions, glass or film with suitable wavelength-selective and transmission/reflection-directive properties, and lighting control that uses high-efficiency light sources.
