摘要

This paper discusses the influences of the locationof hoop-winding-ends upon the strain distribution and the safety ofcylinders. REM analysis was conducted to examine the straindistribution in the composite cylinders with different locations ofhoop-winding-ends; with the excess or partial lack of hoopwinding in the vicinity of the dome-cylinder boundary.The strain analysis revealed that the partial lack of hoop windingaffects the strains in cylindrical part more than in dome part. Thecontrol of hoop winding ends is therefore important to assure thetotal safety of composite cylinders.
