Prosthodontic Treatment of a Wild Jaguar

A 3 to 4-year-old female wild jaguar was captured and taken to Chetumal Zoo in Mexico. The attending veterinarian noted that the right maxillary canine tooth (104) had a complicated crown fracture, and the jaguar was penned. The jaguar was located ina remote part of Mexico and could not be tonsported for treatment. Arrangements were made for treatment of the tooth with the Veterinary Dentists Without Borders mission of the Peter Emily hitemational Veterinary Dental Foundation.
