I was asked to review this book, which has been presented by the author to the Library at INM. Having been to Antarctica and across the Polar plateau, and knowing my grandfather's history in the RN, heading to Antarctic waters and the Great War, I wanted to know more about both of these, and especially to know what providing medical care was like in those conditions with the equipment available then.
