Association of Trauma and MilitarySurgeons Annual Conference 2015

The Association of Trauma and Military Surgeons (ATMS)held their annual conference as part of the Association ofGeneral Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland (ASGBI)meeting in Manchester on 22 April 2015. This was the second conference of the ATMS, whichdeveloped from the Tri-Service Surgical Society. It waswell attended by over a hundred military and civiliandelegates from around the world. Officers of the RoyalNaval Medical Service (RNMS) were well represented,with Surgeon Rear Admiral Alasdair Walker, MedicalDirector General (Navy), attending as senior militaryofficer. Defence Professors Surgeon Captains SarahStapley and Rory Rickard were session moderators andthere were four scientific presentations by RNMS surgeons.
