This paper discusses the stages of the curing process during the preparation of a polymer-network-dispersed liquid crystal from liquid crystal, methacrylate and dimethacrylate esters under UV irradiation. The morphology of each stage was measured by scanning electron microscopy. The effects of the irradiation time on the morphology are discussed. The relationship between the morphology of the polymer matrix and its electro-optical properties was investigated. [References: 19]
