The Role of Uterine Artery Ligation in Increasing Feasibility and Safety of Myomectomy During Cesarean Section

Though myomectomy is traditionally contraindicated during cesarean section, with the improvement of surgical skill and the availability of blood products, this procedure can be performed in selected cases. An interesting case of deep-seated uterine myoma that complicated a pregnancy is presented in this paper. In this study, we found that a successful myomectomy could be performed at the time of a cesarean section following the ligation of both the uterine arteries.
