A patient with short term memory problems and ataxia

A 42-year-old otherwise healthy man presents with short term memory difficulty, headaches, and ataxia. Neurological examination reveals difficulty with object recall, and abstract thinking. The cranial nerve evaluation showed diplopia and his gait was ataxic. Skin examination showed no lesions. A CT scan of the brain without contrast (Fig. 1) showed a hyperdense midline mass extending into the lateral ventricles bilaterally with associated intraventricular hemorrhage and obstructive hydrocephalus.
