The world is changing. We get our oranges from California, our Toyota utes from Thailand and help on the phone from someone in Mumbai. And the same is happening in boating. Years ago we'd turn our noses up at anything but a US-built outboard. Now we rather like outboards made in Japan and we are used to seeing trailer boat brands from overseas. And one of the growing sources of new recreational boats from overseas is China. The land behind the bamboo curtain is now well and truly part of the capitalist world. And lately, it seems to have discovered there is a market in small alloy pleasure boats. One such craft that caught my eye at the last Sydney Boat Show was the Aquabay Raider V3.9.
