These sturdy alloy boats from WA are more likely to hurt waves than their crew. Indeed they've gained quite a reputation as hard-core offshore machines on the West coast. And the key to this is an exceptionally deep Vee hull and very aggressive, largereverse chines. Unlike most alloy boats, the chines are actually part of the hull and this makes the chines much more effective than one just welded onto the outside. The Assassin features a really sharp entry that flows back to a deep 20-degree deadrise at the transom. This body depth combined with the aggressively wide chines makes the Assassin cut through really rough water easily and very effectively deflects spray.
