Hole Specialists Inc., Tomball, Texas, is a one-stop drill, bore, and hone shop. While its business is diverse in that it manufactures aerospace, firearm, and medical components, it does considerable work on oil drilling and extraction tools. Every one of these applications requires holes: deep, round, straight and sized and finished with extremely precise tolerances. In the case of oil drilling, the components require an API-specified drift diameter so that a down-hole tool can descend thousands of feet without getting stuck.
