This article reviews the radiologic features of various entities affecting the orbit and its contents. They are categorized according to the following 6 anatomic compartments: eyeball, muscle, bone and dura, nerve, vascular, and lacrimal gland. At each specific level, traumatic, infectious, inflammatory, and neoplastic etiologies are discussed. A knowledge of the imaging features of orbital pathology with respect to anatomic compartments is invaluable to the radiologist in making a differential diagnosis.
