AMVAC releases weed killer for corn

A NEW postemergence herbicide called Impact offers broad-spectrum control of key broadleaf weeds in corn. The new herbicide, registered and approved in August 2005 by the U.S. EPA, is now available. This low-use-rate systemic herbicide offers excellent crop safety on all types of corn, says Bill Jacobs, Midwest regional manager for American Vanguard, also known as AMVAC. In addition to field corn, Impact is labeled for use on more sensitive corn types, including seed corn, sweet corn and popcorn.
