ARE you feeling jittery about drought in 2006? Many farmers in the northern half of the state have been experiencing below-normal rainfall since early last spring and are expressing concern if this dry spell continues into the cropping year, according to Bob Frazee, University of Illinois natural resources educator. Don't push the panic button yet, advises Frazee. Fields still have time to receive spring rains and recharge soil reserves for the 2006 crop.
