Feed additive performs well

MORE than a year ago, Elanco's Optaflexx, a new feed additive for feedlot cattle was labeled for use. While the ractopamine ingredient was new for use in cattle, it had been used in hog rations for years under the Paylean trade name. Most feeding trials at that point had been conducted on cattle without growth stimulant ear implants, so results weren't totally applicable to most feedlot situations. Since then, numerous feeding trial results have borne out the product's early promises.
