摘要

The synthesis of Mo(V) Schiff base complexes derived from alkylamines and salycilaldehyde are reported. The compounds are characterised by chemical analysis, IR and UV/Vis spectroscopy. The title complex C4H9NH3[Mo2O4(N-C4H9-salim)(2)OCOCH3](.) C6H6 (.) CH3COOH is characterised by X-ray structure analysis. The structure is composed of a di-t-oxo-p-acetato-bis[(N-butylsalicylideniminato-N,O)oxomolybdenum(V)] anion, butylammonium cation and two solvent molecules: benzene and acetic acid. The Mo atoms of the dinuclear complex [with Mo-Mo bond of 2.5675(5) angstrom] exhibit the octahedral geometry coordinated by a terminal Mo-O-terminal [< 1.68](4)> angstrom], a double MO-O-bridging [< 1.940(3)>angstrom], Mo-O-acetato with bridging function exhibiting a significant trans influence [2.325(3) and 2.353(3) angstrom], Mo-O-phenolic [< 2.050(3)> angstrom] and azomethine nitrogen from a Schiff base [< 2.192(4)> A].
