摘要

A novel triplet radical 4-N-tert-butylaminoxyl-4'-(1-oxyl-3-oxide-4,4,5,5-tetramethylimidazolin-2-yl)biphenyl (BIPNNNO) and a metal-radical complex of Mn(II) made up of Mn(hfac)_2 and BIPNNNO were synthesized. The X-ray single crystal structural analysis revealed that the complex consists of discrete molecules [Mn(hfac)_2]·(BIPNNNO)_2. Temperature dependence of magnetic susceptibility was analyzed and revealed that antiferromagnetic interaction is operative between Mn(II) and diradical BIPNNNO to afford S = 1/2 ground state. The exchange parameters are compared with those of complexes of Mn(hfac)_2 with different aminoxyl polyradicals.
