Bi(OCPh_3)_3 has been prepared and isolated and its structure established by X-ray crystallography.Bi(OCPh_3)_3 has been found to have a three-coordinate structure,unlike its silyl analogue,due to #pi# interactions between the Lewis acidic metal and one #beta#-phenyl ring of each alkoxide ligand.
