摘要

The crystal structure of Cs_2[Co(nta)(CO_3)]·H_2O was determined from X-ray diffraction data. The carbonate ion in Cs+_2[Co(nta)(CO_3)]·H_2O acts as a bidentate ligand and the two Co-O bond distances are 1.889(2) and 1.908(2)A, respectively. The nta~(3-) ligand acts as a tetradentate ligand and completes the octahedral geometry around the Co centre with the CO-N and Co-O_(vv) bond distances being 1.920(2) and 1.900(2) A, respectively. Cs_2[Co(nta)(CO_3)]·H_2O is used as staring reagent in the synthesis of other monomeric cobalt(III)-nta complexes.
