摘要

The crystallographic study of {[Co(#mu#-bpe)(bpe)_2(H_2O)_2](0.5bpe)(H_2O)(ClO_4)_2}_n, 1, revealed a complex three-dimensional structure based on simultaneous coordinative and hydrogen-bond interactions. The 1,2-bis(4-pyridyl)ethane molecules exhibit two different conformations (antiperiplanar and gauche) and different functions (bridging and terminal ligand, and non-coordinated). One bpe molecule acts as a bridging ligand and affords linear chains, which are further cross-linked by hydrogen-bond bridges involving the two terminal bpe molecules. It results in a 3D network, with large channels occupied by hydrated, uncoordinated bpe molecules.
