摘要

Reaction of MCl3 (M = Sc, Y, La) with Li3N, NaN3, Ca3N2 and Mg3N2 at 380-800 degrees C in sealed glass or Pyrex ampoules for 1-2 h produces MN in good yield. The metal nitrides were characterised by X-ray powder diffraction, electron probe analysis,: FT-IR and microanalysis. Variations in reaction initiation temperatures, nitride composition and crystallinity were correlated with nitriding agent. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved. [References: 27]
