摘要

Rhenium(III) chloride reacts with sodium isopropylthiolate to give the homoleptic rhenium thiolate cluster Re-3(mu-SPri)(3)(SPri)(6) in moderate yield. Proton and C-13 NMR spectra indicate the cluster has virtual C-s, symmetry in solution due to the high barrier to inversion for the three-coordinate sulfur atoms at the bridging sites. The Re-Re bond distances are longer than those in analogous alkoxide clusters. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved. [References: 19]
