摘要

The reaction of pyridine-2-carbonitrile (2-CNpy) with 2-amino-2-hydroxymethyl-1,3-propanediol (AL(1)), 2-amino-2-methyl-1,3-propanediol (AL(2)) and 2-amino-2-methyl-1-propanol(AL(3)) in ethanolic solutions of Cu(II) and Co(II) salts led to the formation of solid complexes containing 2-(2-pyridinyl) -4,4-bis (hydroxymethyl)-2-oxazoline (pyoxaL(1)), 2-(2-pyridinyl)-4-hydroxymethyl-4-methyl (pyoxaL(2)) and 2-(2-pyridinyl)-4,4-dimethyl-2-oxazoline (pyoxaL(3)), respectively. Their stereochemistry and the mode of ligand coordination have been determined by spectral, magnetic and conductometric measurements. The crystal structure of [CuBr(2-(2-pyridinyl) -4,4-bis (hydroxymethyl) -2-oxazoline)(2)] Br . 0.5H(2)O was determined by X-ray diffraction technique. The influence of Cu(II) and Co(II) salts on the formation of 2-pyridinyl-2-oxazolines is briefly compared with that of Ni(II) salts. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
