Biobased materials - 9th WPC, Natural Fibre and Other Innovative Composites Congress and Exhibition 2012 19-20 June 2012, Fellbach, Stuttgart

The 9th WPC, Natural Fibre and Other Innovative Composites Congress and Exhibition is one of the largest conferences and exhibitions concerning biobased materials, natural and synthetic fibre based composite materials, their processing and applications. It is organized by the Carl Hanser Verlag GmbH & Co. KG, Munich. About 150 delegates and approximately 10 industry showcases attended the conference and exhibition. About 54 technical presentations along with 5 keynote presentations were presented at the conference. The invited participants arrived at the conference from all over the world. The technical program was divided into two technical sessions such as Biomaterials and Automobile applications. In both these sessions, most of the authors concentrated on the subject of natural and synthetic fiber and their composites, WPC bio- and nanomaterials, processing, design and market opportunities etc. Besides a huge variety of classical composites, green composites, their identities and recycling were also discoursed.
