摘要

The homogeneous mixture of N,N'-bis(2-hydroxyethyl)oxamide (BHEOD) and boric acid reacted with an excess of ethylene carbonate (EC). Obtained hydroxyethyl derivatives of oxamide (OD) modified with boric acid are characterized by high thermal stability and exhibit physical properties of typical polyols used in the preparation of foamed polyurethane materials. The rigid polyurethane foams obtained with the use of these derivatives and 4,4'-diphenylmethane di-isocyanate exhibited higher thermal stability and compressive strength compared to the foams obtained from hydroxyethyl derivatives of oxamide without boric acid.
