A new, semi-free-flowing version of Dyneon TFM modified PTFE was introduced for compression molding by Dyneon LLC Oakdale, Minn. TFM X 1630 is said to combine the mechanical, thermal, and electrical properties of other TFM grades with better processability than standard-flow PTFE. Dyneon TFM reportedly has the same temperature and chemical resistance as unmodified PTFE, together with weldability, reduced cold flow for better dimensional stability, and low permeation for weldability, reduced cold flow for better dimensional stability, and low permeation for improved corrosion protection.
