The cross section for the reaction In-115(gamma, gamma')In-115m was measured for photon energies in the range of E-gamma congruent to 4-46 MeV. The parameters of the peak in this cross section near the threshold for the reaction In-115(gamma, n), (E-gamma)((gamma,n))(thr), were refined. It is shown that, in the cross section for the reaction In-115(gamma, gamma')In-115m at E gamma similar to 27 MeV, there is no second peak for which sigma(int)(II) would exceed about 0.2 sigma(int)(I) for the peak at E-gamma similar to (E-gamma)((gamma, n))(thr). The possibility of employing this reaction both in studying photonuclearreaction physics and in monitoring bremsstrahlung photons in gamma- activation studies was examined.
