Double-Beta Decay of ~(150)Nd to the First 0+ Excited State of ~(150)Sm: Current State

摘要

Two-neutrino double-beta decay of ~(150)Nd to the first 0~+ excited state in ~(150)Sm is investigated with the 400-cm~3 low-background HPGe detector. Preliminary data analysis for 6843 h shows an excess of events at 333.9 and 406.5 keV. If this excess is assigned to the investigated transition, then its half-life can be estimated at [1.2 ± 0.4(syst.)] * 10~(20) yr.
