An author on the first page of this issue wonders, "What Next in Sailplanes?" He states that eight of the first ten sailplanes in this national contest could be classed as high performance - in particular the Zanonia flown by Robinson (nine years old); the Laister-Kaufmanns only four years old. He points out that super sailplanes must be bought or bui and building takes time. The opportunity to buy American is the new Schweizer 1-21.
